IF YOU WANT TO HAVE SUSTAINABLE LVT ON YOUR FLOOR….

……. our Belakos LVT floors are the perfect choice.

Is there any such thing as a sustainable floor! Yes, absolutely! By this we mean that our floors are as free as possible of anything that might damage nature and the environment.

In your search for a suitable LVT floor, you will undoubtedly come across all sorts of terms that are (still) unfamiliar to you. While you can and will focus on the colour, style and pattern of the floor, it’s our job to focus on all the raw materials. After all, together we will make your floor complete.

SUSTAINABILITY IS KEY

Absolutely true! It’s what we stand for. And on.

What characterises our sustainable floors?

Special features:

  • Phthalate-free.
This name is a derivative of phthalic acid. Phthalates are chemical compounds commonly used in packaging, wall and floor coverings, etc. Belakos floors are phthalate-free.

  • Produced with ‘more eco-friendly’ plasticisers.
Plasticisers ensure that everything that is very firm and rigid also becomes flexible and pliable. An essential component in a LVT floor that you want to be able to work with. Normally, these plasticisers are made from phthalate. Our ‘virgin’ LVT floors are as pure as possible and contain no phthalate.

  • A+ and E1 standardised.
The A+ label provides information on the emission of volatile substances in a toxic threat during the inhalation of indoor air on a scale of A+ (very low emission) to C (high emission). Belakos floors comply with class A+.

The E1 label provides information about the Formaldehyde content.
Formaldehyde is a gas that is sometimes used in the production of products like chipboard, MDF, insulation materials and textiles. It’s a gas commonly found in almost every home and interior. However, excessive concentrations of formaldehyde can irritate a person’s eyes, nose, throat or skin, or lead to headaches. For this reason, Europe has adopted strict standards concerning the emission (or release) of formaldehyde. All Belakos floors comply with the strictest standards. In Europe, this is currently the E1 standard.
